The Speech Therapist screens, diagnoses, and treats patients with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders.
Typical physical demands include essential functions such as seeing, hearing, and speaking.
Continuous standing and walking are required, with frequent sitting and other movements such as twisting and pushing.
Occasional lifting and carrying are also necessary.
The role involves operating various medical equipment and technologies.
Working conditions may involve exposure to body fluids and possible communicable diseases, alongside a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Preferred qualifications include prior clinical experience in an acute care setting with a focus on adult swallowing and cognitive evaluation and treatment.
