Akamai Foot Doctor, LLC is a private podiatry practice in Honolulu seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Front Office Assistant.

This position combines front-office responsibilities with basic clinical assistance. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, treats patients courteously, follows instructions carefully, and can remain organized in a busy medical-office setting.

• Answer telephone calls professionally and record complete, accurate messages
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Greet, check in, and assist patients
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and medical information
• Scan, organize, and manage office documents
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and routine correspondence
• Prepare examination rooms and clean medical instruments
• Obtain vital signs and assist the physician with basic clinical duties
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a professional office environment

• Reliable, punctual, organized, and attentive to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and courteous telephone manner
• Able to follow instructions and work independently after training
• Comfortable learning electronic health record and practice-management systems
• Medical-office experience is preferred
• Prior experience with scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, or patient care is especially helpful
• High school diploma or equivalent required

A training and probationary period will apply. Compensation is negotiable and based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
