Shriners Children’s is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. The Physical Therapist position provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in an efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.
Key Responsibilities- Provides comprehensive, compliant, and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.
- Works with the medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
- Functions as a team member and develops leadership skills through activities such as: mentoring, and providing education to students and other professionals.
- Supports the ongoing development and improvement of the department through participation in special projects, performance improvement and facility committees.
- Responsible for professional growth and development through ongoing education and research in alignment with hospital’s patient care and strategic direction.
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy
- License is state of practice
- BLS
- 1 year physical therapy experience
- PCA, OCS, NCS, and CHT
- Pediatric and/or Sport experience
The pay range for this position is $44.50 - $66.75/hour.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
