We are seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Optician to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient service while assisting patients with selecting eyewear that meets their vision needs, lifestyle, and preferences.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with selecting frames, lenses, and other optical products.
  • Take accurate measurements, including pupillary distance and other necessary measurements.
  • Explain lens options, coatings, materials, pricing, and warranties.
  • Verify prescriptions and ensure orders are accurate.
  • Submit and process optical orders and follow up on outstanding orders.
  • Adjust and fit eyeglasses for patients.
  • Repair and troubleshoot minor eyewear issues.
  • Maintain accurate patient and optical records.
  • Provide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experience.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing frames and optical supplies.
  • Process payments and assist with insurance or vision plan benefits when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional optical area.
  • Work closely with doctors and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous optical or optician experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, dependable, and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical/optical environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records or optical software is a plus.
