HJF is seeking a Health Advisor III - NIDHC to support medical readiness projects for the National Institute for Defense Health Cooperation (NIDHC) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). The mission of NIDHC is to support military and civilian health operational readiness in crisis and conflict. NIDHC is a unique organization that acts as a central source of coordination and support of health operational readiness for the U.S. Department of War (DoW) and coordinates and collaborates among six U.S. Departments:
DoW, Homeland Security, Health and Human Services, Veterans Administration, State, and Transportation.

The Health Advisor will primarily support the execution of research lines of effort and represent NIDHC in collaborative contexts. The incumbent will be assigned to provide on-site support within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Office of the Command Surgeon, contributing to the execution of NIDHC’s support to the Indo-Pacific Medical Readiness Program (IPMRP) pursuant to the 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 735.

The ideal candidate will translate programmatic objectives to actionable and effective activities. The Health Advisor is responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to facilitate activity implementation and compliance with strategic intent. Additionally, the Health Advisor will work collaboratively with NIDHC-based leadership, program and project managers, and technical staff to advance program objectives. This position directly collaborates with DoW stakeholders and related technical staff to align program and project execution.
