Job DescriptionThe Urology Technician will help review medical records of patients to determine the reason for procedure(s), and analyze past medical history prior to the procedure. They will set up for and assist with the performance of surgical procedures including vasectomy and circumcision. They will clean equipment and prepare procedure rooms for sterilization. They will teach new urology technicians how to prepare for common procedures such as prostate ultrasounds, biopsies, minor surgical procedures, and limited urologic radiologic procedures to include fluoroscopy procedures.
They will administer medications via intravesical route as well as topical medications for treatment. They will assist with obtaining lab tests and schedule appointments, follow up on referrals, and clinical document.
