Kahala Nui, considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Certified Nurse Aides (CNA) to join our team!
Available shifts: EVENING (2:00PM - 10:30PM). Weekend availability is preferred.
CNAs provide direct resident care and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in our Skilled Nursing department. Under the supervision of a RN, CNAs helps residents maintain their comfort, safety, dignity, and independence. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, monitoring residents' conditions, documenting care provided, and supporting residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range-of-motion exercises.
Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output as assigned.
Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or mental condition to RN.Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Assist with meal service, hydration, and nutritional needs.
Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
Document care provided according to facility policies and procedures.
Promote resident dignity, privacy, and independence.
Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Hawaii CNA certification or have completed nurse’s aide training program for Nurse Aide position
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be available to work agreed upon varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency with basic computer functions, including email, web browser, and electronic health records system to record resident care per regulation.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with residents, families, and associates.
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely, including standing, bending and prolonged walking or standing.
Ability to work colligatively with co-workers to achieve positive results.
Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
1-year previous health care experience preferred but not required.
Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements.
