Clinical Director (Director of Nursing) – Registered Nurse

Always Best Care – Oahu
Full-Time | $120,000 – $130,000/year

About Us

Always Best Care serves our kupuna across the island of O'ahu and is one of the fastest-growing home care agencies in the country. We provide both non-medical in-home care and Medicare-certified home health (skilled nursing and therapy). We're looking for an energetic, experienced, hard-working Registered Nurse with a passion for caring for our elders to lead our clinical team.

Position Summary

The Clinical Director (CD), in accordance with policies and standards established by the Governing Body and under the direct supervision of the Administrator, plans, coordinates, leads, controls, and evaluates home care and home health services.

The CD directs and supervises professional and paraprofessional personnel rendering client care, serves as clinical liaison to the Administrator, referral partners, and the community, and remains available during all hours that services are offered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise nursing, therapy, and paraprofessional field staff
  • Oversee implementation and evaluation of client care services, including licensure, certification, and accreditation standards
  • Lead client/patient intake and start‑of‑care planning
  • Partner with the Administrator on policy formulation, program development, and staffing adequacy
  • Develop standards that ensure safe and effective services to clients and families
  • Evaluate programs, services, and field personnel
  • Direct implementation of service goals and objectives
  • Consult with supervisors and staff regarding clients and special programs
  • Plan and coordinate with referral sources and care facilities regarding staffing needs
  • Lead staff development: orientation, in‑service education, and continuing education
  • Keep personnel current on clinical best practices
  • Recruit nurses and nurse aides from schools, expos, and community events
  • Perform marketing and public relations duties on behalf of the agency
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication

Qualifications
  • Active Hawaii RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years home health or home care leadership experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, OASIS, and Hawaii home care/home health regulations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with technology (EMR, Microsoft 365)
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Must pass background check and TB screening
