Claims Reimbursement Specialist - Business Office, CareResource Hawaii

RESPONSIBILITIES

Effective Date: 02/24

• Under the general direction of the Business Services Manager, responsible for submitting bills, collecting monies, and ensuring authorization due for services rendered.
• Performs various duties including data entry, word processing, creating, and maintaining files, assembling, and distributing required material data for reports and projects.

• Sitting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion and frequent gripping of objects.
• Frequent: standing, walking, stooping/bending, and twisting body.
• Infrequent: lifting, pushing, and carrying items up to 15 pounds.

• Not subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in business or two (2) years of billing and collection work experience may be substituted for a degree.

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computer.
  • Familiarity with Homecare Homebase and/or similar home care software.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology (CPT, ICD-10, HCPC).
