Activities Assistant — Liliha Healthcare Center Overview

Supports the Activities Director in planning, running, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for residents, per facility policy and each resident's care plan.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CNA license/certification

• Help build and post the monthly large-print activity calendar (facility-wide and in each resident's room)
• Interview residents/families to learn activity preferences and involve them in program planning
• Escort residents to activities and lead scheduled programs supporting physical, social, and mental well-being
• Conduct one-on-one in-room visits for residents who benefit from them
• Document attendance and write descriptive progress notes on resident response to activities
• Monitor and report changes in resident mood, behavior, and engagement
• Coordinate offsite field trips/transportation and cross-department activity needs
• Support Resident/Family Council meetings and the department's QAPI/quality assurance efforts

Desired Skills/Traits: Strong communication and judgment, composure under stress, organization, basic computer skills, CPR/first aid certification, tact with residents/families/staff, ability to work flexible hours including weekends/holidays, and physical ability to move, bend, lift, and assist in emergency evacuations.
