Patient Registration Specialist

• Engage with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Create, communicate, and obtain all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secure patients’ upfront payment, including assisting patients in finding payment avenues and directing them to financial assistance programs.
• Support ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management, including following up on missing paperwork.
• Assist the Patient Registration Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in related experience required.
• Ability to multi-task and support numerous referrals/priorities at one time.
• Ability to work in a fast past environment.
• Must be detail-oriented and have a high degree of quality focus.
• High degree of customer service skills required.
• Ability to trouble shoot, problem solves and collaborate with cross-functional team members across sales and operation functions.
• Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Demonstrates strong customer service skills and attention to detail while coordinating patient referrals and managing documentation. Proficient in problem-solving and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
