Pharmacy Technician / Order Entry
OverviewJoin Phar Merica as a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician in Honolulu, HI! Come grow your career with Phar Merica's closed‑door, nonretail pharmacy team where you can make a meaningful impact supporting long‑term care and senior living communities. In this role, you'll play an important part in ensuring accurate and efficient medication order triage and data entry, helping our pharmacy operations run smoothly while supporting patient care.
Schedule: Wednesday – Friday 8:30am‑7:00pm & Saturday 6:30am‑5:00pm
Responsibilities- Enter and verify medication orders in a computerized system with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct basic drug calculations, including dosage and conversion tasks.
- Investigate and resolve pharmacy claim denials; perform follow‑up actions in POS systems.
- Stay current with Medicaid claim regulations and ensure compliance in processing.
- Track unpaid or delayed claims; generate reports for management.
- Provide excellent customer service in line with company values and policies.
- Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under Pharmacist supervision.
- Support additional pharmacy tasks and operations as directed by management.
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
- Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
- Hawaii Pharmacy Technician/Trainee License – REQUIRED.
- PTCB Certification – You will have 6 months to obtain the certification; company provides coaching and development.
