Surgery Scheduler

Business Office Associate II (Surgery Scheduler) Bishop&Company, Honolulu HI Pay Rate: $26.00/hour Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and related appointments.
• Coordinate with patients, providers, hospitals, and surgical facilities.
• Obtain and track insurance authorizations and referrals.
• Verify required documentation, testing, and clearances prior to surgery.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR.
• Manage schedule changes, cancellations, and patient communications.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of medical office or healthcare scheduling experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

• Surgery scheduling experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in a surgical practice, hospital, or ambulatory surgery center.
• Epic (OpTime) experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.

An experienced surgery scheduler or medical office scheduler who thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent patient service.
