The U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) is implementing the Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System to improve Soldier readiness, resilience, and deployability. SRI is seeking a Registered Dietitian to serve as a member of an interdisciplinary H2F Performance Team (HPT) supporting the 9th Mission Support Command. The position will be primarily located at Fort Shafter Flats, Honolulu, Hawaii, with recurring travel to Army Reserve locations throughout the Pacific region.
The Registered Dietitian will provide performance nutrition education, counseling, program development, and technical expertise to Soldiers, leaders, and H2F Integration Teams.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt command-specific Performance Nutrition Program policies, curricula, and educational resources.
- Develop practical, evidence-based nutrition resources, including fueling strategies, meal-planning guides, and Go for Green® materials.
- Provide individual and group performance nutrition counseling.
- Provide nutrition education and support to Soldiers enrolled in the Army Body Composition Program, as appropriate.
- Educate Soldiers and leaders on healthy weight management, performance nutrition, and sustainable lifestyle practices.
- Collaborate with other HPT professionals to integrate nutritional strategies with physical performance, injury recovery, cognitive performance, and sleep optimization.
- Provide subject matter expertise, advanced training, and ongoing support to H2F Integrators.
- Participate in unit training events, Battle Assemblies, Annual Training, planning sessions, and H2F working groups.
- Develop and contribute to H2F curricula, resource guides, reports, and other required program deliverables.
- Travel to supported Army Reserve locations throughout the Pacific region as required.
Qualifications:
- Completion of at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and completion of a didactic program in dietetics approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education.
- Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of a qualifying supervised practice program in dietetics.
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Current, valid, unrestricted professional licensure as required for contract performance.
- Minimum of three years of relevant post-graduate experience within the last four years, with demonstrated experience in performance nutrition for athletes or tactical populations.
- Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) highly desired.
- Must maintain all required professional credentials, registrations, and licenses throughout employment.
- Must be willing and able to travel regularly within CONUS and OCONUS locations, including locations throughout the Pacific region.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Secret. Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be able to obtain and maintain the required SECRET security clearance/Tier 3 eligibility.
