Job Summary:

Provides surgical assistance by supporting surgeons during operative procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Support surgeons as a First Assistant during surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with instrument handling.
• Ensure proper documentation of surgical activities and assist with patient positioning.
• Prepare surgical tools and equipment prior to procedures.
• Adhere to hospital safety standards and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current certification as a First Assistant (CFA), Surgical Assistant (CSA), or Assistant in Surgery from recognized certifying bodies.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the Healthcare Professional Level.
• Demonstrate prior experience as a First Assistant or Surgical Assistant preferred.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
