Position SummaryAs an integral part of a team, the Spa Front Counter Associate is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience, exceeding expectations and being involved in all aspects of the Spa’s operation. The associate provides gracious and efficient guest service from arrival to departure, is knowledgeable of the spa facilities, services, products, hotel property, and surrounding area, curates a personalized guest experience, maintains facilities, manages point‑of‑sale, and handles spa appointments.
EssentialFunctions
- Adhere to Halekulani Health & Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Provide a personalized spa and wellness consultation for each guest.
- Provide clear and accurate communication in person, via email, and on the phone.
- Greet and acknowledge all arriving and departing guests.
- Manage Spa, salon, and wellness reservations.
- Knowledge at all times of:
- All property, facility or hotel and Spa features/services, hours of operation.
- All hotel and Spa policies and procedures.
- Treatment availability and wait‑list status.
- Current promotions and/or discounts available.
- Current groups in‑house and their billing for spa services.
- Read communications boards, logs, memos and e‑mail messages prior to beginning shift.
- Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency.
- Maintain a positive attitude with guests and co‑workers.
- Maintain a cashier’s bank.
- Describe in detail spa treatments, products, and facilities.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a safe, well‑equipped and clean work area.
- Properly open and close the Spa each day according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with escorting guests.
- Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned.
Reports To:
Wellness Supervisor
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications for the essential functions of this position.
- Ability to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
- Ensure familiarity with all hotel services/features to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Must be highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to multitask.
- Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Computer skills specific to Spa systems.
- Time management.
- Ability to lift/transport up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours throughout the work shift.
- Maintain a stationary position for up to 45 minutes during the shift.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Indoor, air‑conditioned environment.
- Outdoor, non‑air‑conditioned environment.
- Exposure to variable temperatures.
