As a Recreation Attendant you are responsible for providing warm, engaging, and authentically local personalized service to all guests who utilize the beach and pool facilities.

• Actively engage with guests and assist with all needs, including issuing towels, chaise lounge covers, prop up chairs, distributing snorkel gear, surfboards, boogie boards, flotation devices, kayaks, and providing instruction for proper usage.
• Pick up and remove used towels and debris from the beach and pool deck areas throughout the day.
• Provide unique experiences through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale, fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure a positive first impression of the beach & pool through detailed cleanliness, set‑up, and ambiance control.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all wellness & recreation services, activities, amenities, and hotel services/features.
• Up‑sell and promote wellness & recreation offers to maximize sales revenue.
• Perform opening/closing side duties and set the beach & pool according to standards and procedures.
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel.

• Ability to share Hawaiian culture, stories, and lifestyle with guests in an engaging manner.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in other languages and basic understanding of local languages is an advantage (e.g., ‘Olelo Hawai‘i).
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented, service‑oriented, self‑motivated, and energetic.
• Provide the necessary State and Federal requirements to work in Recreation (Tuberculosis Clearance).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Additional certifications in Recreation such as Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED are an advantage.

• Hourly Rate: $24.81 USD
• Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
