Regional Director Of Revenue Management In Hawaii
Hotel Equities is an extraordinary lodging company which provides award-winning service, management, development, and consulting for hotels throughout the country. Currently, we are seeking someone to join our Springboard Hospitality team as a Regional Director of Revenue Management in Hawaii.
The Regional Director of Revenue Management is responsible for maximizing topline revenue, market share, and profitability across a portfolio of hotels through the strategic management of pricing, inventory, distribution, and demand optimization. This role develops and executes data-driven revenue strategies that align with each property's business objectives while driving RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and market penetration. Leveraging advanced analytical expertise and deep knowledge of revenue management systems, reservation platforms, distribution channels, and front office operations, the Regional Director partners closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to identify commercial opportunities, optimize performance, and adapt to changing market conditions.
This position requires particular expertise in the commercial dynamics of independent and soft-branded hotels, balancing brand standards with entrepreneurial revenue strategies tailored to Hawaii's unique hospitality market.
Overall responsibilities include:
- Develop and recommend sales strategies, room mix and pricing.
- Responsible for reservations system, forecasting and reporting.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and control sales strategies; lead sales strategy meetings to ensure the proper mix of group/transient guests while maximizing occupancy and room revenue.
- Compile data, analyze trends, develop accurate weekly and period forecasts and communicate to all departments to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to provide quality of guest services while minimizing expenses.
- Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling annual budget and marketing plans to assist in meeting/exceeding the overall hotel goals.
- Monitor, control and communicate inventory levels and room and rate restrictions to meet business objectives.
- Assist in the negotiation of rates for transient accounts to ensure the right mix of sales to maximize room revenue.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to team.
- Tailor distribution, positioning, and rate strategy to the specific needs of independent and soft-branded hotels.
- 5+ years' experience managing multiple properties.
- Experience with Syn Xis CRS and independent and soft-branded hotel revenue management required; certification or working knowledge of major brand revenue systems (Marriott, Hilton, IHG) a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years forecasting experience.
- Strong understanding of the unique commercial challenges facing independent hotels — including heavier reliance on OTA and direct channels, custom rate and distribution strategy, and building demand without brand loyalty programs.
- Ability to thrive in a high volume/fast paced role.
- Must have a self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Analytical and technical skills required.
- Working knowledge of reservations, front office, and Microsoft Office Suite to take full advantage of the revenue opportunities.
- Forecasting and creative revenue management abilities needed.
- Yield management skill required to evaluate business trends and communicate to properties the recommendations needed to take full advantage of revenue maximization.
