Primary Responsibilities:
  • Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness,sanitation, and organizationofthe work areasat all times.
  • Set up and break down offood and drinks at the Club Lounge
  • Maintain supplies for the Lounge
  • The ability to display, at all times,a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patron sand other employees.
  • The ability to welcome and register hotelguests with an emphasis on fulfilling requests, followingspecial handlinginstructions and adhering to established credit policies and procedures.
  • The ability to handle a multitude of keys.
  • The ability to pre-register individualsor groups as required; assist in escorting VIP’sand returnguests to their rooms as requested.
  • The ability to work closely with Guest Service Ambassadors,Concierge Ambassadorsand Front Service Ambassadors to coordinate the efficient handling ofguest luggage and follow up onguestsrequests.
  • The ability to handle guest problemsor complaints.
  • The ability to utilize the computer systemin running dailyreportsand blocking special requests.
  • The ability to keep all support departmentsinformed of necessary information or requests.
  • The ability to complete key packets and vouchers,and to modify registration cards.
  • The ability to recite hours of operation of all hotel facilities and special service codes.
  • The ability to understand the tasks performed by a Communication Ambassador, a Reservation Agent,a Concierge Ambassador and a Housekeeper.
  • The ability to handle hotel emergency procedures and situations with maturity and professionalism.
  • The ability to perform tasks and projects as delegated by the Front Office Manager,Assistant Front Office Manager or Hotel Assistant Manager.
  • Register guests and assign rooms; accommodate special requests whenever possible.
  • Check in/out and settle account with fullunderstandingof folio.
  • Understand room status and room status tracking.
  • Know room locations,types of rooms available,and room rates.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to sellrooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  • Coordinate room status updates with the Housekeeping Department by notifying housekeeping ofall check-outs, latecheck-outs, earlycheck-ins,special requests,day use rooms and noshow rooms.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the Reservations Department, take same day reservations andfuture reservationswhen necessary. Know cancellation procedures.
  • The ability to issue outkey cards with proper controls so that keys are given only to registered guests.
  • Know how to use Front Office equipment.
  • Process allguest requests.
  • Use proper mail, package and message handling procedures.
  • Be aware of daily activities and meetings takingplace in the hotel.
  • Coordinate guestroom maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division.
  • Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or designated manager.
  • Know all safetyand emergency procedures. Be aware of accident prevention policies.
