The Assistant Guest Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu, HI, supporting daily front office operations to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. The Assistant Guest Service Manager serves as a supporting role to the Guest Service Manager. This role will partner in the leadership, planning, organization, and direction of daily operations for the Guest Services Department in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
The Assistant Guest Service Manager provides supervision and direction to the Guest Services Associates, and may assist in supervising additional departments as business needs dictate.
This role oversees daily management of guest services staff, including scheduling, payroll, and monitoring service standards at the Front Desk and other guest-facing areas. Responsibilities include handling guest inquiries and concerns, overseeing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all Owners & Guests. The Assistant Guest Service Manager collaborates with other departments to resolve issues promptly, supports training and coaching of team members, and helps maintain a positive, service-oriented environment aligned with company hospitality standards.
Qualifications- Previous experience in hospitality, resort operations, or hotel guest services preferred.
- Strong customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Supervisory skills, including the ability to lead, motivate, and support guest services staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work on-site, including weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as business needs require.
- Generally starting at $62,000 – $68,000 per year. The actual salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, training, and work location.
