Position: HR Generalist
Location: Honolulu
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually (depending on experience)
Local organization seeking an experienced and people‑focused HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources functions and contribute to a positive employee experience. This role will be responsible for benefits administration, payroll support, employee relations, compensation administration, compliance, HR operations, employee engagement initiatives, and day‑to‑day HR support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and able to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Support payroll processing, review timesheets, and assist with payroll‑related issues.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with compensation administration, salary surveys, pay structures, and recognition programs.
- Support employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate employee wellness, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with audits, policy updates, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support HR systems administration and maintain accurate employee data.
- Respond to employee questions and provide exceptional internal customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting benefits administration, payroll, employee relations, compensation, and compliance activities.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing a positive employee experience.
