Payroll Specialist

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations for a Contract position based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on payroll experience who can manage accurate pay processing, maintain employee payroll records, and handle deduction-related updates with precision. The successful candidate will contribute to smooth payroll administration while ensuring timely and compliant processing for a small employee population.

Responsibilities:

- Manage bi-monthly payroll processing from start to finish, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on schedule.

- Enter and maintain payroll-related data with a high level of accuracy across employee records and pay transactions.

- Review and apply employee deductions, including benefit with holdings and other payroll adjustments, in accordance with company policies.

- Administer wage garnishments when needed, ensuring calculations and remittances are completed correctly and on time.

- Use ADP Workforce Now to support payroll activities, validate information, and maintain organized payroll documentation.

- Reconcile payroll details and investigate discrepancies to resolve issues before payroll is finalized.

- Assist with payroll record maintenance and support compliance with applicable payroll procedures and reporting requirements.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll administration.

- At least 2 years of payroll experience in a detail-focused work environment.

- Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle payroll processing accurately and efficiently.

- Familiarity with payroll operations for organizations with fewer than 100 employees.

- Working knowledge of payroll deductions and related employee pay adjustments.

- Experience handling payroll data entry with strong attention to detail.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive employee compensation information responsibly.
