Overview
Systems Administrator This position requires an active Secret clearance. The Systems Administrator supports the Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) Geo Base program by managing, securing, and maintaining Windows-based infrastructure, including Oracle, IIS, and ArcGIS Server environments. This position focuses on patching, STIG compliance, user and group management, backup/restore, and ongoing RMF/A&A support. Familiarity with geospatial systems is helpful, but the primary focus is secure system administration, vulnerability remediation, and server uptime.
Responsibilities- Administer and patch Windows Server 2019+ environments (including domain-joined and standalone systems)
- Apply and maintain DISA STIGs using STIG Viewer, SCAP, and other DoD compliance tools
- Remediate ACAS scan findings and support POA&M closure activities
- Support and maintain IIS, ArcGIS Server, and Oracle services at the OS level
- Manage user and group permissions via Active Directory and local security policies
- Participate in RMF and ATO documentation efforts (e.g., maintaining baseline configs, control evidence)
- Monitor system event logs and assist with incident detection and response
- Coordinate with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and document system changes
- Maintain backup and recovery procedures for Windows-based enterprise systems
- Support software inventory, patch deployment, and system hardening efforts
- Assist with routine SOPs, checklists, and audit preparation
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- B.A. degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience with Windows Server administration in a DoD or enterprise environment
- 3+ years working with Active Directory or LDAP
- Experience with STIGs, SCAP scans, ACAS, and RMF/ATO processes
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar enterprise RDBMS (at the system level)
- Experience troubleshooting server, web, or database service issues
- Experience with backup/recovery procedures
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience supporting the USAF Geo Base Program or working with SDSFIE data
- Familiarity with IIS, ArcGIS Server, and enterprise mapping/web tools
- Basic scripting or web administration experience (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS)
- Experience using eMASS or contributing to RMF security documentation
- Ability to identify internal control weaknesses or system misconfigurations
- Familiarity with SIPR/NIPR system separation and enclave security
- Must pass a federal background check and pre-employment screening
M–F on-site at Hickam AFB (100% onsite).
Hours:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No travel expected. This position requires an active Secret clearance.
