Required Qualifications
- A DoD Secret clearance with US citizenship
- Demonstrated “Advanced Technical Expertise” or certifications in accordance with DoD 8140.03
- Relevant certifications in VDI and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware Certified Professional – Desktop and Mobility, Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization, Nutanix Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, or equivalent)
- A minimum of 12 years applicable experience
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in VDI administration and management, with specific expertise in virtual systems (e.g., Citrix Virtual Apps, virtual desktops, cross domain solutions/access solutions, VDI)
- Expertise in at least one major VDI platform (e.g., VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Azure Virtual Desktop)
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware ESXi or Hyper-V)
- Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS), storage solutions (SANs, NAS) and security policies relevant to VDI environments
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (Power Shell, Python, or Bash) for VDI management
- Demonstrated ability to monitor VDI performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the environment for a smooth user experience.

Peraton is seeking a highly qualified Virtual Environment Lead to fill a Key Personnel position in support of the Enterprise Pacific IT C5 Solution (EPICS) effort for United States Army Pacific (USARPAC).
The United States Army Pacific is the Army Service Component Command for the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), responsible for Army forces in the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility (AOR). The AOR covers 9,000 miles, from the west coast of the continental United States to India. USARPAC applies campaign-quality land power with more than 107,000 soldiers and civilians and represents the nation’s largest theater army.
This task order (TO) directly supports the efforts of USARPAC, its subordinate commands, and its strategic and operational partners (e.g., Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), USINDOPACOM, United States Forces Japan (USFJ), United States Forces Korea (USFK), Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), United States Peace Force (USSF), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Guard Agencies (State Department) to contribute to USINDOPACOM’s operationalization of the National Defense Strategy through providing comprehensive IT enterprise services (e.g., complete infrastructure life cycle for all hardware, software, and services including planning, analysis, engineering, design, development, installation, interoperability mitigation, integrations, testing, operations and maintenance (O&M), and training of all C5 and IT systems supported) that enable multi-domain C5
ISR capabilities across the Indo-Pacific AOR.
The purpose of the EPICs task order is to provide critical C4 and IT system support to Enterprise Services Integration and Modernization (ESIM) for USARPAC G6, its subordinate units, and its strategic and operational partners. C4 capabilities are distinct and each fulfills a different purpose.
Duties and responsibilities of the Virtual Environment Lead include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical leadership and management for all virtualized environments, encompassing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), server virtualization, and potentially other virtualized services as required
- Ensure secure, reliable, and optimized virtualized solutions supporting mission-critical operations
- Focus on the detailed management of VDI systems
