Field Service Representative - Idstein, Germany
Relocation assistance is provided. This role operates under German labor laws but reports to a U.S. Manager and provides technical field service support for Enterprise LMR networks across the EMEA region, primarily for U.S. DoD Federal Government customers (Army, Air Forces, and Navy).

Responsibilities- Provide expert technical support, service, and integration for Motorola Solutions products focused on DoD customers.
- Support U.S. Army, U.S. Air Forces, and U.S. Navy Enterprise LMR networks in Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Kuwait, UAE, Africa, and other locations.
- Perform installation and removal of trunked and conventional LMR systems at assigned locations.
- Operate and maintain equipment for trunked and conventional LMR systems.
- Maintain, program, optimize, troubleshoot, and repair radio repeaters, portable and mobile radios, base stations, dispatch/communications consoles, and related equipment for LMR systems.
- Provide on-site response, infrastructure equipment repair, local technical support, and Network Preventive Maintenance for Motorola ASTRO 25 LMR systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer resolution and manage escalated issues to successful resolution.
- Communicate project updates to customers and handle minor administrative actions; report scope issues to the supervisor.
- Provide user refresher training, including first echelon field training for subscribers and trunked radio infrastructure.
- Promote Motorola Service and Sales portfolios to meet customer communication needs; ensure on-time delivery and effective multi-tasking across systems.
- Support established Service Level Agreements (SLA) and provide administrative reports for contracts and management requests.
- Receive, review, diagnose, repair, test, and calibrate customer LMR equipment back to OEM standards; document using the FSED automated MCM Comm Shop 360 program or successor.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts.
- Minimum 3 years of Radio Frequency (RF) experience and at least 2 years of Networking (WAN/LAN) experience; education or work experience may be substituted.
- Certified technician or equivalent qualification in industrial engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Motorola Solutions P25 Trunking Network Systems and of Motorola radio systems and customer applications.
- Strong knowledge of communications systems with the ability to interface with customer technical representatives and provide appropriate technical support.
- Solid working knowledge of RF theory and proficiency with hardware and software tools for RF and Networking equipment.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance and relevant position certifications (form 86).
- Must possess a valid U.S. Passport and U.S. driver’s license; willingness to travel up to 50% across all of EMEA.
- An EU driver’s license is a plus; relocation is provided for this role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency with MS applications and Google tools.
- One or more of the following certifications:
CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSE, or CISSP. - Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work flexibly and in a team.

Target Base Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 USD
Pay within this range varies based on knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
