ASE is looking for a Network Engineer to work in Honolulu, HI. The Network Engineer is an important contributor to the Command and Control Support System (C2S2) networks, supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) networking architecture. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a broad range of network technologies and monitoring tools across multiple enclaves with varying security classifications.
Responsibilities- Configure and deploy network devices with minimal downtime, coordinate planning for authorized scheduled interruptions, and generate after‑action reports detailing installations, faults, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Perform cable management, collaborate with developers to create workflows for Cisco‑based assets in Service Now, and utilize ACAS to monitor and secure network assets.
- Maintain network and personnel security, manage access control, process service requests, resolve trouble tickets, maintain architectural and operational diagrams, and develop standard operating procedures for device setup and troubleshooting.
- Support occasional after‑hours and weekend work to address service outages and provide monthly reporting to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)–appointed Technical Assistant (TA) on tasks, projects, device security validations, and other critical metrics.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- IAW DoDM 8410.03, intermediate proficiency level.
- Must possess one of the following 8570 IAT‑II certifications:
- CCNA Security
- CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)
- GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)
- GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification)
- Security+ CE
- SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- Valid Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of DoD network engineering experience or 5 years total network engineering experience.
- Experience managing Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience managing Cisco firewalls – Firepower.
- Experience managing Cisco ACI and ISE.
- Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with SPLUNK, ACAS, and What Up Gold .
- Experience managing F5.
- Experience supporting VMware NSX.
- Experience using Microsoft Visio.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to carry 40 pounds due to installations.
- Ability to work occasional after‑hours and weekend work to support service outages.
Pay range: $109,000 – $121,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and paid time off for full‑time and part‑time employees.
