Position Details- Location:
INDOPACOM, Oahu, Hawaii — On-Site, 5 Days/Week - Schedule:
Monday–Friday | Full-Time (40 hrs./wk.) or Part-Time (20 hrs./wk.) - Openings: 2 Positions (1 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time)

Description:
OSAAVA Services is seeking Junior to Journeyman Site Reliability Engineers at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Candidates will apply software engineering and systems operations disciplines to maintain the reliability, availability, and performance of mission‑critical infrastructure in a classified DoD environment. Responsibilities include software deployment, Git Ops workflows, on‑call SOPs, and incident response.
Responsibilities- Monitor production system health, availability, and performance across classified DoD infrastructure.
- Define, implement, and track SLIs and SLOs to maintain operational standards.
- Respond to and triage system incidents; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or equivalent).
- Deploy software and manage releases within a Git Ops framework.
- Utilize Git Lab for version control, CI/CD pipeline management, and operational workflows.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or equivalent).
- Implement and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using Terraform or Ansible.
- Automate system patching, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Execute on‑call SOPs including application health checks and system monitoring.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate to engineering support as needed.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Operate and harden Linux (RHEL preferred) and Windows Server environments per DoD STIGs.
- Support RMF accreditation activities and maintain compliance with NIST 800‑53 controls.
- Perform STIG compliance scans and assist with remediation.
- Enforce security policies and configuration baselines across managed systems.
- Resolve Incident, Work Order, Task, and Change requests via Service Now.
- Collaborate with Tier III engineering, network, and cybersecurity teams on escalated issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, SOPs, and system architecture diagrams.
- Participate in post‑incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with CV enrollment current in DISS.
- 1–5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems administration, Dev Ops, or IT operations.
- Experience deploying software and operating within a Git Ops/Git Lab environment.
- Linux system administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, or equivalent strongly preferred).
- Hands‑on experience writing automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Splunk, or equivalent).
- Experience with Git‑based version control workflows.
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, VLANs, and firewall concepts.
- Ability to access and operate in secured facilities at Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam.
- DoD 8570.01‑M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification at start date (Security+ CE minimum).
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Prior DoD or USAF IT experience—especially supporting Air Force network or infrastructure programs.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration:
Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent. - Familiarity with VMware or other hypervisor‐based virtualization environments.
- Experience with ITSM platforms in a DoD environment (Service Now, Remedy).
- Configuration management tools:
