Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support mission-critical logistics, sustainment, operational, facilities, training, and mission-enabling activities in support of U.S. Government and Department of Defense objectives throughout the Indo‑Pacific region. Personnel in this role contribute to the planning, coordination, execution, and sustainment of complex operations in dynamic and geographically dispersed environments. The position supports operational readiness, resource integration, mission effectiveness, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Duties are performed in support of contingency, expeditionary, and steady‑state operations and may require coordination with Government personnel, mission partners, and cross‑functional teams to achieve program objectives.
This role directs the planning and execution of global training programs for the operation of aerial, maritime, ground, and cyber platforms. Oversees the development of technical manuals, documentation, and instructional materials for classroom and distance learning environments. Manages training platforms and the modification of onboard mission equipment to meet specific instructional and operational objectives. Coordinates with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and linguistic experts to deliver tailored training to partner nations in their native languages.
Evaluates training effectiveness for complex systems like C2IE and JOPT to ensure operator and maintainer proficiency. Supervises the delivery of on‑the‑job and classroom training sessions at government and contractor sites worldwide. Allocates resources and personnel to facilitate large‑scale demonstrations, exercises, and mission‑specific rehearsals. Ensures all training activities address the operating environment, threat landscapes, and special operating considerations. Reports on training milestones and the technical readiness of personnel to operate and posture logistics tools against identified threats.
The job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work at various sites, both CONUS and OCONUS, with travel as required.
- Perform duties associated with the assigned functional role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or assignments.
- Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
- Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
- Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
A Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or particular expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique. Subject Matter Experts do not have specific experience/education qualifications, but are typically identified as recognized Industry leaders for a given area of expertise.
