IT Specialist/Help Desk Temporary - 3 months
Bishop & Company is looking for an IT Specialist Help Desk candidate for a local bank. This position is full time Monday – Friday, 7AM – 4PM with a 1-hour lunch break, excluding bank holidays. This schedule is not flexible.
Please note only candidates residing on Oahu will be considered at this time. The position is located 100% on site and no parking is provided
Primary Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests received via phone, email, and the Service Now ticketing system.
- Create, categorize, and manage incident and service request tickets with accurate documentation.
- Administer user accounts and group memberships in accordance with established access control procedures.
- Fulfill standard service requests, including software installations and application access.
- Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and relevant technical details to support future issue prevention.
- Maintain ownership of assigned tickets, providing timely status updates and ensuring issues are resolved within defined SLAs.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to Tier 2 support when appropriate.
- Contribute to the internal knowledge base by documenting solutions, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Identify recurring issues and trends to support problem management efforts within Service Now.
- Perform initial triage, diagnosis, and troubleshooting for a wide range of technical issues.
- Resolve common end-user issues, including:
- Password resets and account lockouts
- Microsoft 365 application support
- Email and mailbox issues
- VDI desktop troubleshooting
- Thin client terminal support
- Laptop and workstation issues
- Printers, scanners, webcams, microphones, and other peripherals
- VPN connectivity
- Basic network connectivity and access issues
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in help desk or technical support roles, including hands‑on troubleshooting and customer service.
Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $20.00 – $23.00/Hr. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above‑stated range.
