TEKsystems is seeking a dynamic and dedicated IT Desktop Technician to support one of our partner companies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and troubleshooting end‑user devices, ensuring seamless operation across the organization’s IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help empower employees to perform their best by providing prompt, efficient, and friendly technical support. This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii and is 100% onsite. This role will also require traveling from site to site, so a valid driver’s license and vehicle are required.
- Hardware/software maintenance and troubleshooting
- Hardware/software installs
- Data entry – updating in a timely manner and adhering to processes for documenting work performed (such as requests and incidents).
- Hardware moves
- Problem research
- Documentation of various Desktop Support Services processes
- Service Desk support
- Special projects
- Inventory
- E‑waste
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows 11, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe products, and other standard enterprise desktop software.
- Working knowledge of iOS and mobile device support, including configuration, connectivity, application support, and end‑user troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware, including peripherals such as monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and related equipment.
- Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting networked and locally connected printers in an enterprise environment.
- Proficient in supporting commonly used business applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe, with the ability to troubleshoot and assist end‑users.
- Working knowledge of audio–visual electronics used in conference rooms, including setup, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting conference room technologies such as widescreen TVs, projectors, and video conferencing systems (e.g., Polycom), including setup and issue resolution.
- Technicians must have the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written communication.
- Technicians must also be able to work under tables, on ladders, move up and down stairs, and lift up to 60 pounds.
- Basic knowledge of safety issues associated with electrical equipment is required.
This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $25.00/hr.
