Position: IT Specialist (NETWORK) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will be responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, and trouble resolution of all infrastructure supporting voice, video, and data networks operated at the command.
* You will be responsible for recommending cable assignments and notifying leadership of areas where cable resources are limited.
* You will be responsible for managing complex Information Technology projects, clarifying customer requirements, and developing project documents.
* You will submit new circuit orders, verify available funding, and deactivate obsolete circuits.
* You will perform site surveys and develop cost estimates for infrastructure builds and associates updates to the cable management documentation. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top secret (SCI) security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position is an on-call position and may require the incumbent to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and/or overtime.
* The incumbent will be required to be on-call outside normal working hours to resolve issues impacting operations.
* The incumbent may be required to work rotating shifts, serving as the command's technical representative, especially during increased DEFCON levels, exercises, or periods of heightened tension.
* Incumbent must be removed from his/her military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code Network Operations Specialist, proficiency level advanced.
* The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. Qualifications Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent):
