Overview
We are actively hiring a Desktop Field Technician to support enterprise users across multiple locations. This role is responsible for PC builds, deployments, troubleshooting, and conference room technology support, while maintaining high service standards and strong customer relationships.
This is a field-based position, requiring travel between sites—a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.
Key Responsibilities- Acquire PCs and conference room equipment from warehouse locations.
- Stage, image, and build devices using standard configurations.
- Deploy and install desktops, laptops, and peripherals at user sites.
- Support 30–40 PC builds per month per technician.
- Perform equipment moves, adds, and changes.
- Install and support AV systems including widescreen TVs, projectors, and video conferencing systems (e.g., Polycom).
- Troubleshoot conference room issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Support Windows OS and business applications (Microsoft Office, Adobe).
- Troubleshoot printers (networked and local) in enterprise environments.
- Provide Service Desk support and onsite user assistance.
- Maintain accurate inventory of PCs and equipment.
- Track incidents, service requests, and completed work.
- Document processes and support procedures.
- Assist with asset disposition and e‑waste management.
- Perform hardware installations and upgrades.
- Conduct technical research on recurring issues.
- Contribute to special projects as needed.
- Experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and Windows environments.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- PC imaging and deployment experience.
- Printer setup and troubleshooting skills.
- End-user support experience in enterprise environments.
- Ability to manage workload independently in a field setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Willingness to travel between sites.
Employment Type
Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Fully onsite.
Pay Range$25.00–$25.00/hr.
