Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support mission-critical logistics, sustainment, operational, facilities, training, and mission-enabling activities in support of U.S. Government and Department of Defense objectives throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Personnel in this role contribute to the planning, coordination, execution, and sustainment of complex operations in dynamic and geographically dispersed environments. The position supports operational readiness, resource integration, mission effectiveness, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Duties are performed in support of contingency, expeditionary, and steady-state operations and may require coordination with Government personnel, mission partners, and cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives.
This role oversees programs, initiatives, and projects supporting readiness, training, and exercises under the task order. Leads and manages strategic and operational readiness requirements, providing expertise in the analysis of training and exercise activities within the Information Advantage community. Evaluates and provides recommendations on concepts of operations, strategic plans, operational plans, policy, doctrine, authorities, regulations, and statutes to support mission effectiveness.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work at various sites, both CONUS and OCONUS, with travel as required.
- Perform duties associated with the assigned functional role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or assignments.
- Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
- Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
- Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. May supervise others.
A Subject Matter Expert is an individual whose qualifications and/or particular expertise are exceptional and/or highly unique. Subject Matter Experts do not have specific experience/education qualifications, but are typically identified as recognized Industry leaders for a given area of expertise.
