Job Description
The ITSM Developer I plays a crucial role in supporting and advancing our organization's IT Service Management capabilities. You will be responsible for the configuration and ongoing maintenance of our ITSM platform, with a primary focus on the Service Now environment. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into effective technical solutions.
By building and enhancing workflows, forms, and integrations, you will contribute to the stability, performance, and overall optimization of our enterprise service management.
Pay range: $28.50 to $33.50/hr, commensurate with experience.
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (hours may vary).
Responsibilities- Develop and configure the Service Now platform to meet business requirements.
- Build and enhance workflows, forms, and integrations for efficient service delivery.
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and adherence to governance and best practices.
- Partner with business units to understand operational needs and gather requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, working closely with developers and analysts.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and efficient service management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and automation.
- Document and maintain accurate records of platform configurations and changes.
- Stay updated with the latest ITSM trends and technologies to enhance our platform.
- Provide support and training to end-users on the ITSM platform as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT Service Management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Service Now or other ITSM platforms.
- Experience with workflow design and process automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Groovy) for platform customization.
- Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
