As an expert in biodefense and operational readiness, you will anticipate and respond to emerging biological threats, develop solutions that protect the nation and keep our military safe.
ResponsibilitiesLead risk assessment efforts, integrating biosurveillance methods, and ensuring operational safety for Air Force personnel. Guide strategic-level planning for biological threat mitigation and resilience‑forward readiness frameworks. Develop tailored solutions based on hazard analysis, biosurveillance frameworks, and threat containment in a complex and evolving threat landscape. Advise on CWMD objectives and support Air Force priorities.
QualificationsYou Have:
- Experience developing, assessing, and implementing biodefense‑focused measures and operational readiness policies for military applications.
- Knowledge of the interplay between emerging biological threats, CWMD doctrine, and hazard containment strategies.
- Ability to lead technical assessments, conduct threat analyses, and oversee biosurveillance risk mitigation frameworks using data‑driven solutions.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in an analytical or defense field, or 10+ years of experience in an analytical or defense field in lieu of a degree.
Nice If You Have:
- Experience supporting Air Force or Combatant Command biodefense programs and readiness‑driven operational engagements.
- Knowledge of infectious disease modeling, epidemiological readiness, and interdisciplinary methods for containing biological threats in military contexts.
- Ability to lead collaborative workshops and integrate host‑nation or partner‑country priorities into CWMD programs while addressing unique regional and environmental challenges.
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Public Health, or Homeland Security.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $ to $ (annualized USD).
