System Administrator, VI SME - TS​/SCI Security Clearance

ASE is looking for a Systems Administrator, VI SME to work in Honolulu, HI. The Virtual Infrastructure (VI) System Administrator provides day-to-day system administration services and ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. This role manages over 300 Virtual Machines (VM) across four VM Operating Environments (VOE) and three different security classifications, working closely with various teams to ensure system and application operations and security.

Pay Range: $145,000 - $155,000

• Maintain, install, update, and secure operating systems and applications using VMware vCenter, VMware Horizon View, VMware ESXi, and storage solutions such as Rubrik, Cohesity, and Pure Storage.
• Maintain STIG compliance, manage DoD PKI requirements, and integrate all systems into the Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) architecture.
• Monitor security and performance logs, manage Service Now tickets, and participate in technical meetings to provide expert recommendations.
• Handle backup and restoration processes, support command exercises and inspections, and manage Continuity of Operations (COOP) for VOE systems.
• Create, maintain, and update VOE Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and provide monthly status reports detailing accomplishments, ongoing issues, and efforts requiring government action.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be necessary to support service outages.
• Proactively manage system operations and collaborate with developers and cybersecurity staff to ensure a secure, efficient virtual infrastructure.

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• IAW DoDM 8410.03, must meet Intermediate Proficiency level.
• Must possess one of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst), GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP.
• BS degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution (preferred).
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of experience managing and supporting VMware vCenter & Horizon View environments.
• Experience securing systems and applications in accordance with Federal, DoD, and customer regulations, directives, policies and STIGs.
• At least two years of experience managing Cisco UCS in a DoD environment.
• Experience managing VMware NSX, Rubrik, Cohesity, VMware vSan, vCOPS, vRO, Aria, and ESXi in a DoD environment.
• Experience managing Tintri and Pure storage.
• Experience supporting Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) agents.
• VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP‑DCV) 6 or later in good standing.
• Ability to work occasional after-hours and weekend work as required to support service outages.
