Job Summary
Senior Infrastructure Systems Administration Engineer – key contributor to supporting our government Customer’s program platform environment operation and design. This role supports a Linux‑based environment with hands‑on experience in COTS implementation, systems administration, network systems configuration, systems security implementation, and private cloud environments using tools such as VMware or Amazon Web Services.
Responsibilities- Support the hardware infrastructure, including systems administration, networks, and overall system security posture for complex on‑premises compute environments that form the backbone for operational deployment of a critical, strategic national asset.
- Communicate any risks or issues involving system performance, availability, or security.
- Work processes with the team to address fixes while ensuring that all changes follow the project’s change‑management processes.
- Support system configuration and deployment.
- Assist with system networking.
- Support COTS product installations.
- Provide hands‑on experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration.
- Collaborate with the systems security team.
- Obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days.
- BA/BS degree and 5+ years’ experience in STEM with emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Active and transferable TS/SCI with CI poly U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in daily system operations and maintenance and use of administration tools.
- Experience in network designs and security postures.
- Experience in SAN/NAS structures.
- Experience with implementing DISA STIGs.
- Experience with applications and administration of networks, storage, and virtualization (VMware).
- Experience scripting in Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, or others.
- Experience with command line.
- Experience in Java, Jenkins.
- Experience in system live operations.
- Experience in Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops system development.
- Experience with implementing private cloud environments.
- Experience with automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt Stack.
- Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher).
