Ilocano Interpreter

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider that connects bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities to serve as a freelance interpreter or translator.

Hanna is seeking bilingual and multilingual professionals to work as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter you contribute to language access for all, and as an independent contractor you set your availability and accept appointments according to your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, but are not guaranteed and are offered based on need. Interpreters start at $30 per hour, depending on language demand, experience and availability.

• Fluency in English and a target language with a comprehensive understanding of idiomatic speech and cultural patterns.
• Previous interpreting experience, preferably in medical, legal or educational settings.
• Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to operate basic communication tools.
• Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various work environments.
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• High school diploma or equivalent, or certification in interpreting or a related field.

• Applicants who meet baseline requirements will complete a skills assessment and background check.
• Qualified interpreters will be invited to complete onboarding and join the linguist network.
