Attorney

The Law Offices of Daniel J. Knight, APLC is looking for a motivated, civil litigation attorney with excellent writing, research, and communication skills to fill the position of Associate Attorney in our firm. We are an expanding firm looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment. The firm focuses on plaintiff cases having to construction law, real property, and general civil matters.

In addition, there is a work group that focuses on estate planning and estate litigation.

The candidate will be compensated for generating business and obtaining new cases in addition to their normal compensation.

• Conduct research, prepare legal documents, appear in court, and perform other duties to ensure that clients receive the best and most cost-effective legal solutions
• Timekeeping and case management
• Conduct legal research
• Draft complex pleadings, motions
• Court appearances
• Correspond with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

• Proficient with judicial council forms, Microsoft Suite, and JEFS e-file, though we can train the right candidate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skill
• Experience drafting complex pleadings, motions, demand letters
• Experience reviewing financial records
• Organized, proficient at multi-tasking, and detail oriented
• Works well under pressure and deadlines
• Takes initiative while working independently
• Ability to work in a team with support staff
• Can effectively interact with clients

Compensation commensurate with experience, paid holidays and paid time off. Recent bar passers considered as well as experienced attorneys.
