IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company is seeking a Yard Attendant to join our team.

At IAA, our Yard Attendants enjoy working in the elements. They are detail‑oriented and quick on their feet, often with a passion for cars. While Yard Attendants always focus on safety first, they understand the importance of a quick and smooth operation.

As the frontline of IAA, this critical role enjoys learning new ways to use technology and being at the forefront of the auction industry in all our tools and resources.

• Vehicle check‑in by recording and filing information on vehicles assigned to the facility
• Detail vehicles to improve appearance and enhance value at auction, training provided
• Operate passenger vehicles safely, moving them around the facility and/or participating in drive‑through auctions
• Recover keys, license plates, and other items from vehicles at the facility and store them appropriately at the branch
• Assist visitors by providing guidance and directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance
• Train and develop on the job in forklift and loader operation

All candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). There are physical demands of this role, so please read them carefully and understand that this is no desk job.

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle as required for job duties.

An upbeat demeanor to ensure every customer interaction is positive is a must! If you know about cars, or have general mechanical knowledge, you’ll fit in great. Teamwork is incredibly important to our success!

Candidates with basic automotive repair skills or experience in the rental or construction area have found this role to be an exceptionally great fit. Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry and/or related field preferred.

• Apply appropriate safety procedures to protect Company and customer assets
• Use personal protective equipment (i.e., safety gloves, safety glasses)
• Avoid accidents by recognizing unsafe situations and responding appropriately when accidents occur
• Follow industry‑specific regulations related to hazardous materials handling
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 lbs. constantly
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 100 lbs. occasionally
• Constantly reach outward, handle and finger objects, stand, walk and sit
• Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, and crawl
• Primarily outdoor work in all types of weather
• Remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and other vehicles in the work area
