Medical Equipment and Supply Specialist
Candidates must reside in Oahu and be available to interview immediately.
Responsibilities- Manage inventory, ordering, tracking, and maintenance of supplies and equipment to ensure all operational needs are met.
- Oversee procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of supplies and assets, ranging from office materials to complex clinical machinery.
- Process purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and maintain accurate records for all supply and equipment transactions.
- Conduct routine inspections, quality control checks, and compliance reviews to ensure proper functioning and regulatory adherence.
- Support equipment maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, coordinating repairs, and monitoring lifecycle management.
- Maintain property accountability through detailed documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Provide technical assistance to staff regarding equipment functionality, usage, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Management to follow proper purchasing protocols and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
- Manage onsite inventory and Lawson Cloud Suite Perpetual Inventory systems to maintain accurate stock levels and data integrity.
- Serve in a dotted line reporting role to the Assistant Administrator, contributing to staff training, resource management, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Document all activities thoroughly, ensuring clear communication and consistent ticketing, tracking, and audit readiness.
- Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot supply delays, shortages, and issues.
- Inventory control systems, data entry, and property accountability.
- Understanding of procurement, logistics, and supply chain principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and coordinating.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to maintain highly sensitive, confidential material.
- Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of anatomy, pathophysiology, current treatment methods.
- Provides hospitable customer service.
- Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- One (1) year experience in materials management, central supply, or operating room.
- Experience with high‑tech equipment and instrumentation used in clinical departments (e.g., orthopedics, open heart, general surgery, ophthalmology).
- Experience with perpetual inventory and IT supply management.
Typical range: $26–$32 per hour. Final compensation depends on education, experience, certifications, and other factors.
