Our client is a rapidly growing, leading national manufacturer and distributor of high-performance building materials. They are looking for an autonomous, impact-driven Operations Supervisor to take full ownership of their local back-office logistics, warehousing, and light production floor. Given the geographic isolation of this branch from mainland headquarters, this position requires a highly self-reliant leader with strong independent decision-making skills.

This isn't a desk job, and it’s definitely not a place to just "maintain the status quo." We need a hands-on leader who looks at a floor and immediately sees how to use Lean/5S to make it faster, safer, and more accurate.

• Own the Floor:
  Lead and develop an on-site warehouse and production crew of 10–20 hourly employees. You’ll have the freedom to build your team culture and actively coach up performance.
• Drive Efficiency & Logistics:
  Supervise container freight receiving, inventory staging, and local fulfillment workflows. Use Lean and 5S methodologies to optimize the warehouse layout, reduce logistical waste, and streamline throughput.
• Master the Metrics:
  Take direct accountability for key inventory KPIs, specifically Inventory Record Accuracy, Order Picking Accuracy, and Labor Efficiency.
• Oversee Assets:
  Manage preventative maintenance and floor utilization for material processing machinery, specialized tools, and forklifts.
• Keep Data Clean:
  Run daily transactions through a modern, cloud-based ERP system using electronic barcoding and digital scanning workflows to eliminate manual tracking errors.
• Excludes front-office administrative duties (such as order entry and customer invoicing).

• Experience:
  
  5+ years of operational, warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing experience, including a minimum of 2 years of direct people management experience on an industrial floor.
• Strong ERP & Scanning Discipline:
  Highly proficient with modern ERP systems (entering transactions, tracking inventory) and direct experience utilizing electronic barcoding/RF scanning devices. Experience with Infor Cloud Suite Industrial (Syteline) or Sage ERP platforms is a plus.
• A "Hands‑On" Leadership Style:
  You lead from the front. You possess high mechanical aptitude and are fully willing to jump on a forklift, operate machinery, or help move materials alongside your team when the operation needs support. Active forklift certifications or safety credentials (OSHA‑10/30) are highly valued.
• A Track Record of Impact:
  You can easily point to a past warehouse or production line and explain how you left it more organized, safer, and more efficient than you inherited it.
• Physical Capability:
  Ability to stand/walk on a concrete floor for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs when assisting the team.
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business is preferred but equivalent field leadership experience is fully accepted.

• Fully Compensated for Every Hour:
  Shift parameters are stable, but unlike salaried roles that expect 50+ hours a week for zero extra pay, this position is strictly hourly and Overtime Eligible. Any hours worked past 40 are paid at time-and-a-half to properly reward your floor hours.
