Casual Per Diem Locker Room Attendant

Punahou School is seeking a Casual Per Diem Locker Room Attendant to maintain a safe, organized, and respectful environment within the girls' athletic facilities supporting the students, athletic programs, coaches, faculty, and staff. Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the Boys' locker room facilities and locker assignments to ensure a hazard-free environment and uphold student safety standards.
• Maintain constant presence and supervision inside student changing facilities to protect student privacy, enforce safety protocols, and ensure a safe environment.
• Issues and assigns equipment, towels, and uniforms to students, players, coaches, faculty, and staff.
• Supports the laundry room with washing, folding, and drying of uniforms and towels.
• Reports any incidents or maintenance issues to direct Supervisor.

  Monday – Friday, Variable hours between 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Schedule vary based on operational needs
• Hourly Rate: $20.00/Hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ):
  Male. Pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2) and Hawaii Revised Statutes § 378-2, sex is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification for this position. The role requires direct, uninterrupted supervision inside facilities where male middle and high school students change clothing and shower, making male sex necessary to protect student privacy and modesty.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Two (2) years of continuous experience performing similar administrative, facility maintenance, or athletic support duties (or equivalent combination of education and training).
• Experience working with pre-teens and adolescents in school, athletic, camp, or youth program settings.
