Hawaiian Building Maintenance is seeking a diligent and reliable Custodian to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities.
- Location:
Oahu, HI (Downtown Oahu)
-Employment Job Type: Part-time
- Schedule:
Sunday 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Monday to Thursday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
-Hourly pay rate: $17.27
-Number of
Hours:
15.5 hour work week.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Dust and clean surfaces, including windows and mirrors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Stock supplies in restrooms and other designated areas
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to management
- Perform other assigned duties by your supervisor.

Qualifications:
- Must successfully pass prescreen check.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be able to read and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping work preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Must be capable of performing manual labor, including cleaning common areas, pressing, pushing, and pulling, and frequently lifting and carrying 25–50 lbs.
- Ability to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, walk, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, navigate stairs, and use a ladder, with the ability to stand throughout shifts.
- Willingness to learn and participate in training for the position.
- Capability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
