Winn Companies is looking for an
Environmental Abatement and Remediation Manager
to join our military team atthe Hickam Communities in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the remediation and abatement processes while supervising nine (9) environmental technicians who assess, remove and repair environmental safety concerns on the property. You will also ensure that standards are achieved and sustained in accordance with project objectives, and you will work closely alongside Lendlease Environmental and Safety Managers.

The salary range for this role is $75,000.00 - $78,570.00 annually. Salary will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as key in reviewing and managing policies and plans for personnel response and efforts during emergency situations, such as fires, storms, and floods (during and after normal business hours).
  • Containment, removal, and testing of mold, asbestos, and lead-based paint.
  • Address customer environmental and safety concerns and diffuse minimizing escalation.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered in a compliant, safe, and timely manner as it pertains to environmental and safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide environmental support for supervisors and subcontractors to address, scope, quality, and compliance concerns.
  • Participate in site safety and environmental programs, coordinating with Senior Management on immediate concerns and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure environmental and safety policies, procedures, standards, and reporting requirements are effectively communicated to all employees.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits of worksites and record keeping and present findings to Leadership. Identify strategies for rectifying deficiencies.
  • Promote and practice environmental and safety campaigns, including Incident and Injury Free (IIF).
  • Oversee and support coordination and scheduling team with all required notes and documentation for environmental related work orders using Yardi.
  • Set goals and priorities for functional area. Make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs while manager or director provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and/or managing budget in functional area or department. Present monthly budget variance report to department leadership.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical training such as OSHA 30 or OSHA HAZWOPER.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of remediation and abatement concepts, practices, and policies with the ability to use in complex varied situations.
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience at minimum.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Availability to respond to after-hours on-call emergencies as needed.
  • Experience with computer systems, including web based applications and Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability comprehend and communicate complex information, verbally and written, in English to organization staff, clients, families, and external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with EPA regulations.
  • Military housing standards, safety compliance protocols.
  • Experience with safety compliance protocols.
  • Past knowledge with facility management systems such as Yardi, Salesforce, Power

    BI, etc.
