Position: Test Control Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Review testing practices to develop standard operating procedures and other applicable directives.
  • Utilize established procedures to safeguard and account for testing material.
  • Develop testing schedules that provide optimal access for customers at established testing sites.
  • Provide managerial oversight of testing sites to ensure the proper administration of enlistment testing.
  • Utilize established performance standards to evaluate the work of subordinate employees.
  • Distribute workload among employees to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned tasks.
Conditions of Employment
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require regular evening and weekend work.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required.
  • This is a supervisory position; a one‑year probationary period to assess supervisory duties is required unless already completed.
  • The position has been designated as non‑sensitive and requires a personnel security investigation.
Qualifications
  • Specialized Experience (GS‑07 level)
    • At least one year of experience providing oversight of administrative programs and/or staff.
    • Using standardized testing practices to administer a variety of tests.
    • Exercising quality control of documents to sustain pertinent information (e.g., testing documents).
    • Maintaining control of testing environment by ensuring proper test score reporting and result distribution.
  • Education
    • Master’s or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or study in a field demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position. Transcripts must be provided.
  • Combination of Education and Experience
    • Can be used to qualify if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
  • Experienced in administration and management, leadership, information organization, and problem‑solving.

  • Selection may be subject to a one‑year supervisory probationary period.
