Position: Housing Public Housing Supervisor VI

HOUSING PUBLIC HOUSING SUPERVISOR VI

The Public Housing Supervisor VI is responsible for developing, revising, and implementing policies and procedures, rules and regulations that govern housing management programs. The position also oversees supervisors who manage public housing statewide.

Salary Range

Monthly: $6,490.00 - $9,612.00

Annually: $77,880.00 - $

Education

Graduation from an accredited 4‑year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.

Specialized Experience

Two and one‑half (2½) years of specialized experience in one or a combination of the following types of work:

  • Progressively responsible work that involved most operational activities of housing projects, including development and implementation of local policies, procedures, and work plans; supervision and training of personnel; budgetary control; maintenance and repair of facilities; evaluation of costs; rental and occupancy activities; community and tenant relations; and problem resolution for tenants.
  • Progressively responsible work in real property management as an employee or agent of a real estate firm, bank, insurance company, etc., managing multiple‑unit residential operations, private developments, or shopping centers. This work must demonstrate knowledge of rent scheduling, property rental, lease negotiation, maintenance, fund management, and fiscal accountability.
Supervisory/Staff Specialist Experience

Two (2) years of supervisory or staff specialist experience in one or a combination of the following areas:

  • Supervisory

    Experience:

    Planning, organizing, scheduling, and directing work of others; assigning and reviewing tasks; advising on difficult problems; training and developing subordinates; evaluating performance.
  • Staff Specialist

    Experience:

    Conducting studies, making recommendations, giving technical advice, gathering data, conducting special studies, recommending staff improvements, developing training materials, securing cooperation of agencies, collecting and analyzing staffing and training data, and evaluating policies and procedures.
Substitution for Specialized Experience

A master’s degree in business or public administration from an accredited college or university may substitute for one (1) year of specialized experience.
