Applied Materials India is a strategic location and an enabler of design and development of semiconductor and display manufacturing equipment and services, and is the largest engineering location for Applied outside the USA.

The role reports to the Head of Business Development & Growth (BDG) in the Semiconductor Business Unit (SPG). It partners with senior leaders across the company to deliver on the India growth strategy, scale business, drive innovation and build new levels of collaboration.

• Build and drive long‑term vision for Applied Materials India by leveraging existing capabilities, harnessing talent, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Drive synergy and collaboration between various groups to optimize capabilities and drive engagement.
• Drive long‑term infrastructure growth and development aligned with the company’s strategic plans.
• Develop new technology and product development capabilities to enable Applied Materials India to contribute to the company’s innovation charter.
• Develop and foster partnerships with universities and other research organizations to strengthen talent development and innovation footprint.
• Demonstrate organizational agility, lead through matrix structures and drive alignment among business unit leaders on key priorities for India.
• Drive a high‑performance and productivity culture, building strong leadership and inclusive teams to help the company scale.
• Support local community outreach and philanthropic efforts consistent with Applied Materials’ focus areas.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies for the site.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; a Master’s degree in business administration or a related field is an added advantage.
• 15+ years of industry experience working in multiple disciplinary business groups or roles.
• Demonstrated ability to create and drive strategy, leading execution across large organizations.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships across matrixed organizational structures.
• Financial and operational experience managing large business units – a plus.
• Proven experience in leading diverse, large organizations.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• A talent mindset with a focus on innovation and collaboration.
