General Purpose as a Branch Manager

The branch is the fundamental business unit of Elwood Staffing and the Branch Manager is responsible for all business activities conducted by the branch. The role drives both top‑line sales performance and bottom‑line profit, manages branch operations, customer service and business development activities, and supports the company’s mission and core values.

Essential Functions of a Branch Manager
  • Be the primary driver of sales, operations, and profit for the branch.
  • Ensure the branch has a strong recruiting team and winning sales efforts.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach internal team members to ensure successful operational practices.
  • Develop each team member individually.
  • Maintain 100% on‑time order fulfillment for recruiting and service operations.
  • Hold branch team and on‑site staff accountable for meeting or exceeding performance expectations, providing timely feedback and corrective action as needed.
  • Drive activities that improve results and achieve growth goals.
  • Ensure branch compliance with company policies and applicable government regulations.
  • Balance time with clients, branch team members, and on‑site staff.
Desired Skills & Experience for a Branch Manager
  • Management, supervisory, or team‑lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate proactively to resolve issues with urgency.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required for travel between the branch and client/prospect locations.
