Pay

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $27.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $42.50.

Role Overview

At Target, we believe in our leaders having meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career. The role of a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of:

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest‑first culture on your team
  • Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies
  • Planning departmental workload daily/weekly to support business priorities and deliver sales goals
  • Process improvements and workload efficiency
  • Leading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent
Typical Responsibilities
  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience
  • Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and consistent operations
  • Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments
  • Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrate wins, drive results that deliver outcomes, and elevate the guest experience
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard
  • Lead your team and drive fulfillment goals, understand your role in supporting sales growth and how your departments and team contribute to and impact total store profitability, in support of your direct leader
  • Utilize workload planning tools to ensure your team completes all scheduled workload and all orders are fulfilled to meet the delivery, freshness, and service standards
  • Review all fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve them
  • Create daily plans for your team in collaboration with your direct leader
  • Be an expert of operations, accuracy, process and efficiency
  • Enable efficient delivery to our guests by leading pickup and ship‑from‑store workload
  • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions, develop a guest‑centric team, and support onboarding of new hires with your direct leader
  • Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness, hold team members accountable to expectations, and close any training gaps through coaching conversations
  • Ensure the team is following food safety guidelines and selecting fresh food items for guests
  • Ensure supplies are ordered timely and stocked; partner with your direct leader for ordering
  • Follow all safe and secure training and processes as a key carrier, when applicable
  • Occasionally assume store‑level leadership on duty responsibilities to enable the guest experience during assigned shifts based on store needs
  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences
